No, not paired with Simbu: Hansika

Hansika has played bubbly characters and girl-next-door roles but in Simbu's upcoming 'Vettai Mannan' she will play a rough and tough gangster named Maya. Nelson who will open his innings in the film industry as a director with this film has conceived a totally new avatar for Hansika changing her looks, body language and her total appearance for this role.

However, after this was announced rumour mills had it that Hansika will be paired with Simbu in the film and play his love interest. Hansika has cleared the air on this. She has expressed that she will play a gangster in the film and will not be seen as Simbu's love interest. Deeksha Seth will be the heroine in this film.

'Vettai Mannan' is an action thriller with Jai and Poonam Kaur essaying important roles in this film. Simbu plays an international hired hitman, Vignesh, in this flick which is being produced by NIC Arts.

Music of 'Vettai Mannan' is being taken care of by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The combo of Yuvan with Simbu has previously resulted in chartbusters so there are a lot of expectations running on this film too.

Suseendran who had directed films like Vennila Kabadi Kulu, Naan Mahan Alla and Azhagar Sami Kuthirai has now directed the film titled Rajapattai which has been produced under the banner P V P Cinemas.

After Dhil, Dhool and Sami, Vikram is donning the lead role in an action oriented film.

Vikram is donning a gym boy called Anal Murugan. He has made heavy workouts and has increased his weight by 10 kilos for the sake of this film.
Deeksha Seth who is pairing with Vikram is donning the role of an employee working in Software Company.Popular director K Viswanath is donning the role of an ashram manager. Vikram and Viswanath has excelled in the comedy scenes.

‘ Siruthai’ Avinsash, ‘ Ghajini’ Pradeep Rawath and ‘Naan Mahan Alla’ Doss are donning the villain roles.

Thambi Ramaiah is donning the role of Vikram’s friend.

The song sequence Laddu Laddu has been shot in Italy. Shriya and Reema Sen have danced with Vikram for this song.

Art director Rajeevan has erected the sets of market, mansion and ashram in a down-to-earth way.

Mu Kai had been to the shooting spots and edited this film on the spot.

Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the all the songs penned by Yugabharathi.

Director Suseendran while speaking about this film said, "Many of the common people have been affected by land cheating and land grabbing attrocities. There is a big mafia gang behind this. I have directed this film in a commercial way with the back drop of this mafia."

'Vettai' audio launch - A grand affair

The full album audio launch of UTV Motion Pictures' 'Vettai' was a grand affair at the Anna Centenary library, with the cast and crew in full attendance along with various tinsel town celebrities.

The event saw the presence of Madhavan aka Maddy, Arya aka Jammy, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul, Lingusamy, Yuvan Shankar Raja, UTV Dhananjayan along with Karthi, Vishal, Jiiva, Venkat Prabhu, Sasi and others.

The function also marked Lingusamy's decade long career in Tamil cinema and a series of hit numbers from his films were performed on stage along with actors who have worked with him, Madhavan, Arya, Karthi and Vishal speaking about the director who knows commercial cinema like the back of his hand.

The new trailer of 'Vettai' and two songs from the film were premiered at the event, along with performances by Arya and Amala Paul. Amala Paul and Sameera went desi and were seen in dazzling sarees.

The star of the evening was doubtlessly Yuvan Shankar Raja, whose single track from the album, 'Papappa...' has already become a raging hit!
